At Canopy UK, we love a challenge- and our latest project was one for the books.
When a client approached us with a vision to turn a vintage van into a fully functional food van, we knew it was time to roll up our sleeves and bring some serious craftmanship to the table.
The van, a charming old classic with plenty of character, arrived at our workshop ready for a new lease of life. Our team got to work designing and installing a bespoke extraction system to ensure safe and efficient ventilation – and essential for any mobile kitchen, but we didn’t stop there…
To maximise functionality and flow, we custom built stainless steel work tables tailored to the vans compact interior ensuring every inch of space was optimized for prep and service. Along with a sleek serving hatch offering the customers a face to face welcome.
And because no retro ride is complete without a nod to its roots, we manufactured a vintage style roof rack- perfect for extra storage and adding a nostalgic flare. The result? A head-turning food van that’s a stylish as it is service ready.
And the best part is seeing our clients face light up when they came to collect it.
