Canopy UK are always happy to support local charities so when they were approached about sponsoring a hole for the Nassington Pre-school golf day they were more than happy to offer their help.
Nassington Pre-school has been running since 1998 and has an excellent reputation as a provider for good quality childcare. They offer comprehensive care and education to children aging from 2 up to 5 years.
In August 2017 Nassington Pre-School changed its charitable status from an unincorporated charity (Committee run organisation) to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) which means it now has its own legal identity, separate from that of its Trustees but it also means that they often have to find ways to raise funds for themselves.
This year they decided to hold a charity golf day due to one of their trustees being a golf professional.
The day went incredibly well with over 25 players signing up to play. The organiser, Aaron Jones of Thorpe Wood Golf course, added “the day went better than we could have anticipated and I am so incredibly grateful for the amount of people that showed up to play golf and to support such a goof cause and to Canopy UK for their help with sponsoring holes, its amazing companies like Canopy UK that support our fundraising days which in turn means we are able to add new supplies to the pre-school and it means the children never have to go without.”
It was great to see the families and children of Nassington Pre-school supporting the day and cheering all the golfers on.
The golfers even had their very own mascot in the form of Jazz the Labrador, who stole the show and, on more than one occasion, tried to steal the golf balls too!

Canopy UK love to support local charities in and around the community and believe in giving back to help local businesses.
